pngquant software package provides PNG (Portable Network Graphics) image optimising utility, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install pngquant
pngquant is installed in your system.
Make ensure the pngquant package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep pngquant *
You will get with pngquant package name, version, architecture and description in a table
